Dill seeds, the fruits of the dill plant. Seeds are slightly bitter- aromatic, pungent, caraway-like flavor, but stronger than dill weed.
Used in German, Russian, and Scandinavian dishes, including spreads and salads (tuna, mock-tuna or potato), breads, soups, vinegar & pastries. Dill seeds make excellent flavored vinegar. Lightly toast dill seeds before cooking to bring out their flavor.
