Commonly called water leaf & red algae, native to Scotland,
Ireland, northern France, Iceland, Canada & Greenland,
harvested during low tides from the rocks on which it grows.
It is a red sea vegetable that has a delicious tangy flavor,
offers a lot of nutrition from this sea plant, & a good
source of potassium, iron,vitamins B6 & B12, & fluoride. Suggested Use: Used as a seasoning or sea vegetable. May be
added insoup, salad and stew recipes for a nutrient boost. Great
for chowders, pasta, bread, pizza, in sandwiches and stir-fries.
Can be oven toasted for a crispy snack. Warming: It is advised not to use dulse leaf if you have hyperthyroidis.
