Small Fava Bean are a tiny round, small brownish-green bean. When the outer skin is peeled, have a creamy pale yellow color. When cooked it has bold, earthy flavor, creamy texture and buttery taste. Popular to use in soups, dips to sauces. Egyptian national dish 'Ful Mudammas' is made with Small fava bean.
Basic preparation: Wash, rinse & soak overnight. Peel the outer skins (should slide off). Add 4 Cups of water / Cup of Bean, bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 60-75 minutes or until tender (add more water as needed). Whisk lightly to remove the floating foam while cooking.
Yield: 3 cups of cooked beans / Cup of dry beans
