Ground Fennel seed is the ground of pale green colored dried fruit of the highly aromatic
and flavorful fennel plant flowers. Ground Fennel seeds have a warm- sweet aroma and anise / licorice-like flavor that can lend an earthy, sweet taste to dishes.
Suggested Uses:
Ground Fennel seeds are used to flavor meat, fish, cheese and vegetable dishes, as well as
breads and chutneys. Used in spice blend and in curry & lentil dishes. Ground seeds go well in spice cookies, quick breads, yeast breads and savory muffins or scones, or sprinkle on top of breads or crackers before baking.
Health Benefits:
Medicinally fennel seeds have been used to settle the stomach. Fennel tea is an excellent digestive aid, relieves abdominal cramp, gas and bloating. Fennel tea also can promote lactation to increase milk secretion.
