Gaba Rice, Sprouted Brown Rice

This unpolished short grain brown rice is germinated to increase levels of nutrient called GABA. When cooked, rice grain have a softer, less chewy texture and a sweet, mild, nutty flavor.

Sprouted brown rice (GABA) can be used alternative to regular brown rice for improved flavor & texture.

Cooking Instructions for plain rice:

1. In a sauce pan add 3 cups of water or broth / 1 Cup rice, 1 tsp sat (opt).


2. Bring to a boil, lower the heat, cover with lid and simmer for 30-40 minutes or until grains are tender.


3. Turn off the heat, let the rice steamed in the covered pot at least another 10 minutes or until the rice has absorbed the liquid.


4. Fluff with fork and ready to serve rice alone.

One cup of rice will yield: 3 cups of cooked rice.
