This un-skinned & split Moong Bean (Split Green Gram) has retaining outer green skin and light yellow interior.
Moong Dal Split is a very nutritious staple food in Indian cuisine, relatively easy to digest, low in fat, high in protein and has dietary fiber.When cooked and have a mild, earthly flavor and soft texture.
Mostly used in ‘Moong dal Khichadi’, and many extremely healthy comfort food andsatisfying meal.
Basic Cooking Instruction:Carefully sort, wash and rinse. Bring 3-4 cups water / cup of dal to boil. Lower the heat, simmer 20-25 minutes, until tender & soft. Whisk lightly, remove the floating foam.
Flavor with butter or oil, salt to taste and dal masala seasoning if desired. Cook uncovered over low heat until desired consistency.
Serve warm with basmati rice, flat bread and choice of any veggie.
