Hyssop is a perennial shrub like herb, has a slightly bitter minty flavor. Use sparingly as a minty culinary addition to soups, stews, casseroles, sauces, meat dishes, in marinades and herbal teas.
Use small amounts in your dishes added just before serving, as the bitter, slightly minty flavor can easily overpower a dish.
Hyssop is used as an herbal remedy for respiratory disorders
