Jacob's Cattle Gold Beans, a cross between the Jacob's Cattle Bean and the Paint Bean, have a mottled cream and golden tan bean with white blotches. Has mild flavor with subtle fruit notes. It hold their shape when cooked and absorb flavors easily. Used in soups, stews, salads, chilis and baked bean dishes.
Basic preparation: Wash, rinse & soak overnight. Add 4 Cups of water / Cup of Bean, bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 35-45 minutes or until tender (add more water as needed). Whisk lightly to remove the floating foam while cooking.
Yield: 2 1/2 cups of cooked beans / Cup of dry beans
