Tuscan Lentils are very small and delicate, variegated green to brown legumes from region of Tuscan, Italy. When cooked, this milder brown lentils with inherent tenderness, hold their shape, and has aromatic and delicate flavor.
Used to make hearty lentil soup with Tuscany greens & herbs.
Basic Cooking Instruction:
Wash & rinse. Add 4 cups of water or broth/ cup of lentil, bring to boil. Lower the heat, simmer 25-30 minutes or until tender & soft (add more water or broth as needed). Whisk lightly, flavor with butter or oil, salt to taste and seasoning if desired. Cook uncovered over low heat until desired consistency. Serve warm.
