Madagascar Pink Rice
This Organic pink rice is grown in the farms of Madagascar, milled to retain 66% of its bran layer. When cooked, has soft texture, sweet aroma & nutty flavor.
Use as steamed plain, rice pilaf with, stir-fry, soups & salad or make pudding.
- In a sauce pan add 1 3/4 cup of water/ Cup of washed & rinsed rice, add pinch of salt (optional)
- Stir lightly, bring to a rolling boil, lower the heat, cover with lid and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Turn off the heat, let the rice steamed in the covered pot at least another 5 minutes or until the rice has absorbed the liquid.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
1 Cup of Rice will yield: 2 ½ cup of cooked rice.
