Mildly spiced, this sauce is known popularly as Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala or Tikka Sauce. Our chef has followed an authentic recipe from the Punjab region in the North Indian Peninsula
Gluten-free, Vegetarian and Nut-free
Sauté vegetables, paneer, shrimp, chicken or meat and add the sauce
Simmer for 3-7 minutes or until the protein is cooked
Serve hot with rice or Indian flatbreads
Makhni Tikka Masala is also a perfect pasta sauce! Simply toss prepared pasta in hot Makhni sauce, and finish with grated cheese if desired.
One can spice up a grilled piece of meat, fish or vegetable by spooning over a ladle of Makhni sauce.
In need of larger quantity?
I am loving the Kalustyan’s simmer sauces. So far we have tried the Makhni and Khorma. For a little extra “Oomph” I add some garam masala.
