Monosodium Glutamate (MSG)

Also known as ‘TASTING SALT’, improves the taste acceptability of foods.MSG is the sodium salt of glutamic acid, made of water, sodium and glutamate (amino acid).

MSG doesn’t have a specific flavor of its own, but widely used food-additives as an ingredient to enhance the flavor and add umami (the fith flavor) taste of the foods including meat, poultry, soups, stews, gravies, seafood, snacks, egg & vegetable dishes.

MSG should be used in small quantities.

½ tsp of MSG is enough to season a pound of meat or a dish that serves 4 to 6 people.
