These yellowish to blackish yellow colored seeds of the mustard plant, are commonly
known as ‘White Mustard Seed’, originating in the Mediterranean area. Yellow mustard seeds are mellow tasting- a little spicy and slightly bittersweet until ground or toasted, then they become pungent, sharp, earthy, and bold.
Soaking in water will also bring out the full flavors.

Primarily used in Europe and Western Asia, as a culinary spice worldwide and in American yellow mustard. It adds a piquant bite to many regional dishes, condiments, and seasoning blends.
