Toasted Minced Onions are the fresh peeled minced onions that has been toasted to
highlight the sweet flavor then dehydrated. Minced pieces are smaller and more irregularly
shaped than diced pieces and they offer the same distinctive sharp and distinct pungent
savory flavor of fresh onions with a bright toasted note, without the lengthy preparation of
using fresh. The flavor of dried minced onions is more intense than fresh, so less is needed.

Suggested Uses:

Dried toasted minced onion works well in salad dressing, beans or grains. Sprinkle on
roasted potatoes or other vegetables. Toss it into chicken, tuna or potato salad or
in egg salad. Dust over breads and bagels to add savory flavor, or use it in a soup, sauces or
in a stew or to make onion dip. Throw the dried toasted onion into the pot when you add the liquid.
