Hulled Emmer Wheat
Farro is semi pearled ‘Emmer Wheat’, an ancient strain of hard wheat grown in Northern
Italy. When cooked, it adds add full-bodied sweet & nutty flavor, retains firm (doesn't
expand as much as rice or pasta), have hearty chewy texture, and high nutritional value
(over 16% protein) to every meal.
Farro is a popular grain for salads and soups.
Cooking instruction: Add 1 cup of Farro to 2-1/2 cups water, bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 min. Drain excess water. Serve warm.
