Southwest Red Pepper Orzo is rice-shaped pasta made from durum wheat flour that is naturally colored a dusky brick red with chili powder. The firm texture and subtle flavor make it a flexible and versatile ingredient that maintains its shape when cooked.
Use hot or cold in place of rice in risottos, soups, or salads.
Basic prep: Add 1 cup of orzo in a boiling water with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp cooking oil. Cook for 10-12 min. until al dente and strain. Rinse with cold water use immediately.
