Orzotto is a pearled barley cultivated in Italy. When cooked, adds sweet & nutty flavor, hearty chewy texture.
A special Italian dish ‘Barley Rissoto’ is made with Orzotto barley instead of rice for a chewier texture. It is a versatile grain that can be served hot as an entrée or side dish and can also be served as a cold salad.
Cooking Instruction: Place 1 cup Orzotto in a pot cover with water and salt to taste, bring to boil, lower the heat and simmer for 40 minutes, strain and season to taste and serve.
