Authentic short grain Calaspara rice infused with Paella seasoning, a convenient way to make authentic ‘Paella’ dish. Retains shape when cooked, not sticky or creamy. Can be cooked and served as flavored side dish.
Ingredient: Calaspara rice, Rice, 2% or less of Garlic, Salt, Onion, Chile pepper, Canola oil, Turmeric, Sugar, Spices, Paprika, Saffron.
Cooking Instructions for plain rice:
- In a sauce pan heat 2 tbsp olive oil, add 1 cup rice, stir 2 minutes then add 2 1/2 cups of water or stock.
- Bring to a boil, stir once, lower the heat, cover with lid and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Turn off the heat, let the rice steamed in the covered pot at least another 5-10 minutes or until the rice has absorbed the liquid.
- Fluff with fork and ready to serve.
One cup of rice will yield: 3 cups of cooked rice.
