Red Chori Beans are the dried red beans of Indian yard-long (Chowli / Lobia) beans. When cooked, have a sweet, nutty flavor & creamy texture.
Cooking Instruction: Wash, rinse, soak lightly & drain. Add to 4 cups of water/ cup of dal, bring to boil. Lower the heat, simmer 40-45 minutes or until tender & soft (add more water as needed). Whisk lightly, cook uncovered over low heat until desired consistency and remove the floating foam. Add salt and any seasonings as desired, Serve with steamed Basmati rice and choice of any veggie.
Yield: 2 ½ cups of cooked beans / Cup of dry beans.
