Sendha Namak, also called halite or land salt, is unrefined, non-iodized salt, mined from underground deposits of dried lakes in the Punjab region of Pakistan. It contains 94 trace minerals and can be white, pink, red, or even blue in color.
It is considered the healthiest form of salt in Indian Ayurveda, and known to be good for the heart, beneficial for people with diabetes and to prevent osteoporosis, may also offer benefits for those with kidney disease.
