Black sesame seed powder is made from raw and un-hulled small, oval- flat, oily black sesame seeds, that are grind into a powder form.
It has slightly nutty with a rich, toasty fragrance and slightly bitter flavor compared to white sesame seed powder. Black sesame seeds do impart a stronger taste than regular sesame seeds, especially when lightly toasted in a dry pan.

Black sesame powder is a prominent ingredient in Asian dishes for their taste, flavor, color
and texture. Also used in Chinese and Japanese cuisine for flavorings on various bakery
products. Used in to make black sesame soups and paste. Blend with other ingredients to
make smoothies.
Also added to bread, cakes, cookies, ice cream, mochi, chiffon cake, sponge cake,etc.
