Toasted Sesame Seeds are the tiny, flat hulled sesame seed (white sesame seed) of a flowering plant, that have been toasted until golden brown. It have a sweet and nutty aroma with a delicately sweet flavor, nuttier flavor than raw sesame seeds, and the seeds have a crunchy texture. Can easily be crushed or ground, and when added it adds a nutty, toasty-smokey taste to the meals.
Suggested Uses:
This Toasted, hulled sesame seeds can be sprinkled on a variety of dishes for extra crunch,
and pleasing nutty, rich flavor. Toasted seeds are primarily used as a garnish on crackers,
noodles, salads and more. Can be added to various pasta dishes, roasted vegetables, freshly
baked bread, cookie dough & confections.
In addition, they are also good for furikake (dry Japanese condiments sprinkled on top of rice).
