This soup-like lentil dish, combines five kinds of Dals (Toor dal, Chana dal, Moong dal, Urad dal & Masoor dal). Serve at special occasions, with Naan or plain boiled rice and salad.
Cooking Instruction: Rinse and soak until soften, cover with enough water and bring to boil, simmer on low heat for 30-40 min or until soft like porridge (add more water as needed). Whisk lightly, remove the floating foam. Flavor with butter or oil, salt to taste & dal masala seasoning if desired. Cook uncovered over low heat until desired consistency. Serve warm.
