Sulfur (S8) is a yellow crystalline powder, a chemical element. is a naturally occurring volcanic brimstone deposit. Recovered during gas manufacturing as a flaked sulfur, and ground into powder. Sulfur is insoluble in water but soluble in carbon disulfide.
Its most common use is in the production of sulfuric acid for sulfate and phosphate fertilizers, and other chemical processes.
