Szechuan Seasoning Szechuan Seasoning is a unique blend of spices, lends a wonderful taste-bud-tingling peppery flavor and an authentic Szechuan taste.
Used to make a spicy and sweet sauce, and used as a marinade or in Szechuan style stir fries, noodles or fried rice or any other Szechuan recipes or as a dip.
Ingredients:
Szechuan Peppercorn, Crushed Red Pepper, Sesame Seed, Green Bell Pepper, Garlic, Ginger, Chives, Lemon grass, Brown Sugar, Salt.
Recipe to make Indo-Chinese style Szechuan Chicken:
In a bowl mix in 1tbsp soya sauce, 1/2tbsp vinegar, 2tbsp corn starch, and salt to taste. Add 1lb boneless chicken cubes in the bowl to marinade for 15-25 minutes. In a pan add 1tbsp sesame oil, add sauté 1 thinly sliced onion until soft. Add 1-2tbsp Szechuan Seasoning, stir, add 2-3 tsp red chili sauce, 1tbsp soya sauce, ½ tbsp vinegar and salt to taste. Add the marinated chicken, stir and cook until tender, and the sauce get thick enough (may add 1-2tbsp ware if needed).
Serve the Szechuan Chicken in a plate garnish with green spring onion.
