Tapioca starch/flour is a starchy, silky, extremely smooth & slightly sweet flour, extracted from the root of Tapioca (cassava root) plant.
It thickens quickly without adding fat or flavor. As a thickener, it becomes a clear, glossy gel with a neutral taste, adds structure, texture and appearance without the grittiness.
Mostly used in soups, dips, gravies, sauces, stews, pudding and pie fillings.
Use 2 Tbsp tapioca starch for 1Tbsp corn starch.
