Teff is an ancient North African tiniest reddish brown cereal grain, staple of traditional Ethiopian cooking. When cooked, has sweet- nutty flavor and sticky texture.
Used to makes a unique hot breakfast cereal, added to veggie burgers, cookies, cakes and make Injira bread, or use as a thickening agent in soups and sauces, or as a great addition to porridge, stews, pilaf or side dish.
Cooking Instruction: Add 1 cup Teff in 3 cups of water, stir and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 15- 20 minutes, until tender. Turn off heat, let it sit covered 10 minutes and all water is absorbed, serve warm.
