Turkish tea (Rize Tea) is grown in Black Sea region, North of Turkey, is full-flavored, makes an unusual bright color, and sweet-fruity taste. Generally drunk from small, tulip-shaped glasses, enjoyed as well as showing its crimson color of the tea.
To Make Tea: Put in 1 tsp of tea per cup of water in a teapot, pour boiling water into the teapot, steep for 10-15 mins. This strong tea is then poured into the small tea glasses, usually filling 1/3 or 1/4 full depending how dark or how light you prefer your tea. Glass is then topped up with hot water.
