Valencia Rice is a medium-grain rice from Valencia, Spain. This rice cooks up tender, moist & sticky, and has ability to absorb moisture without breaking down.
Perfectly suited for making ‘paella’. It also good for side dish, risotto, soups, stews, sushi, rice pudding.
Cooking Instructions for plain rice:
- In a sauce pan add 1 ¾ cups of water / Cup rice, salt to taste, 1 Tbsp butter (opt).
- Bring to a boil, lower the heat, cover with lid and simmer for 20-25 minutes or grain are soft & tender.
- Turn off the heat, let the rice steamed in the covered pot at least another 5-10 minutes or until the rice has absorbed the liquid.
- Fluff with fork and ready to serve rice alone.
One cup of rice will yield: 3 cups of cooked rice.
