Vialone Nano Rice, Italian medium rounded short-grain rice from Venetto region, among the finest to make wet ‘soupy’ Risotto.

Vialone Nano absorbs flavors well and absorb a lot liquid, makes a light, creamy risotto without any stickiness. It also can make a great side dish for meat or fish.

Cooking Instructions for plain rice:

  1. In a sauce pan add 4-5 cups of water or broth / Cup rice, 1 tsp sat (opt), 1 Tbsp butter (if desired).

  2. Bring to a soft boil, lower the heat, cover with lid and simmer for 20 minutes.

  3. Turn off the heat, let the rice steamed in the covered pot at least another 10 minutes or until the rice has absorbed the liquid.

  4. Fluff with fork, season to taste and ready to serve.

One cup of rice will yield: 3 cups of cooked rice.
