Yellow split peas are de-hulled & split yellow peas, low in fat and high in protein and fiber. When cooked, have a delicate flavor and make a wonderful, slightly hearty, thick and creamy texture. Used to make wholesome soups, dal, curries, and side dish.
Basic preparation: Wash, rinse & soak overnight. Add 3 Cups of water / Cup of Bean, bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 60-90 minutes or until desired tenderness (add more water as needed). Then cook uncovered over low heat until desired consistency.
